Erin Leary, Founder of BeBuddha Jewelry, used her travels all over the world as inspiration for her passion in making jewelry. She finds unique elements (beads, pendants, metals and rings, etcetera) in order to create beautiful jewelry pieces that you can’t find anywhere else!
I’ve collaborated with BeBuddha Jewelry in order to present you a very special blog post series. Each week, I will be matching a themed look with several of Erin Leary’s pieces.
For this outfit, I am wearing the SANTORINI NECKLACE, NAPOLI WHITE BRACELET, and ONE OF A KIND EARRINGS (available for purchase by email at firstname.lastname@example.org). Be sure to check what kinds of stones each piece contains and what special meanings each stone holds.
Whether or not you plan to hit the waves during your time at the beach, the maxi dress is the perfect one-piece item that you can quickly slip on and out of when needed (of course, keep in mind that I’m telling you this because I’m already assuming that you’re wearing a swimsuit/ bathing suit under the dress).
With the long, flowy, maxi dress, I wanted to keep the jewelry to a minimum because I didn’t want the pieces to draw too much attention away from the beautiful dress that I was wearing.
Not that I was stacking bracelets or necklaces in my last three shoots, but I just wanted to emphasize that I continued doing so for this time as well in order to maintain a minimalist look with the jewelry. As a result, I unintentionally created a well-matched, all-white look.
Coincidentally, the SANTORINI NECKLACE, NAPOLI WHITE BRACELET, and ONE OF A KIND EARRINGS contained stones that reminded me a lot of the beach with its various shades of seashell white. Maxi dresses always give off bohemian vibes for me, so as a result, I decided to match my dress with dangling jewelry that will help create that nice laidback, flow effect similar to that of the maxi dress’s skirt.
It turned out I picked the right jewelry pieces because they were inspired by cities located in coastal areas!
Just to let you know, though, the jewelry pieces were very unique in design and could be worn as statement pieces if you wanted them to be – in fact, if they hadn’t been used to blend in with my intended look, they were edgy enough to stand out on their own with many other outfit combinations.
If you followed my blog long enough , you can tell that I love being by the water. (This is already my third shoot by a body of water, ha-ha!) Water has this really calming effect on me, so I wanted to translate that feeling by using the environment as the backdrop of my photo shoot. Anyway, what is a better way to end the summer than visiting the beach one more time?

SPECIAL THANKS TO…
I would like to thank Erin Leary, the Founder of BeBuddha Jewelry, for having so much faith in me on this project. It means a lot that you were so enthusiastic about being on board with my project suggestions. I’ve learned so much from this collaboration and I hope you did as well. I love how we share a love for travel and how yours was able to be translated through your amazing jewelry collection. Your story of how you started BeBuddha is truly inspiring and I am so excited to see you continuing your beautiful work in the future! I wish you the best in everything.
Also, I’d like to thank Jessica Zissman, my photographer/videographer for everything. I would not have been able to work on this collaboration if it hadn’t been for you. You are a very talented photographer and I would not hesitate to work with you again if another opportunity arises in Chicago. With every photo shoot, you always never fail to surprise me with something new. I am really grateful to have you as a friend as well as my partner. You don’t know how much I’ve grown and learned from working with you. You are the best and I will miss you.
