Summer Trends 2015: Never Too Late to Shop

It’s the middle of the summer but that doesn’t mean you can’t shop for new pieces for your wardrobe. The weather hasn’t been all that great in Chicago for the past month, so it didn’t feel like summer to me until now (I swear it was in the 50s these past few days).

Here’s a quick overview of some of the trends that I’m loving for the season.

High Waisted Shorts

I’m praying to Buddha that these shorts will never go out of style whenever the sun is out. When you’re wearing these high-waisted lovelies, you don’t have to worry about exposing any awkward “cracks” (if you catch my drift) while still being able to flaunt and tan your legs!

This year, it seems that designers are going conservative with swimwear. Monokinis have become the hottest piece to wear – yes, even hotter than bikinis. I guess, the phrase “less is more” still holds a lot of truth, huh?

Wool Fedoras

These wool fedoras are great with a variety of outfits! And what’s even better is that you can continue wearing them throughout the autumn and spring.

T-Shirt Dresses

Honestly, when I first saw these dresses, I thought they were perfect to wear to bed when in actuality, they’re supposed to be casual wear during the day. A very versatile piece! If you’re concerned about the length of the dress, you can always add some tights to the outfit.

Florals are not just for spring! Dresses, skirts, tops. You name it! The colorful pattern will easily brighten your mood on rainy days.

Platform Wedges

This is what I would call a 2-in-1 kind of a footwear! Platform wedges give you the right amount of height and support, while still giving your feet some air!

Happy shopping! Remember, you still have time!

Stay curious.
