What is an affordable alternative to have your teeth bleached at the dentist？
Despite hating dentist appointments with a passion, I still care about the health and appearance of my teeth. Let’s be real here. No one wants to have corn kernels as teeth.
I love to smile without having to feel self-conscious about showing my teeth, but I realized that achieving that right shade of whiteness can’t be done by simply following my daily brush-and-floss routine.
The problems with going the traditional route and bleaching my teeth white at a dentistry are one, I don’t want to use my already skimpy college student budget to undergo the treatment and two, I face a risk experiencing pain if it turns out I have sensitive teeth.
So, a while ago, I heard about Whitening Lightning from several YouTubers. They vlogged about their experience with it and I thought I should give it a shot. I bought the Zero White Whitening Pen (according to the box, it can be used by people with sensitive teeth as wel) at a discounted price of $29.
The Whitening Lightning is definitely a product that you should try and see for yourself. You can enter a code for a discount. I used JEN75 to get 30% off. I’m not really sure who the discount came from…
It’s pretty simple to use. You just uncap the pen and twist the end to squeeze out the gel – it may take more than several twists to finally get the gel out.
Then, you lightly brush on the gel, covering the front and back of your teeth.
Finally, smile like crazy for 60 seconds so that the gel can adhere. (I never realized how hard it was to force myself smiling for more than several seconds until now.) Once the minute is gone, you can stop smiling and go to sleep!
Repeat these steps day and night for about 2 weeks and apparently you should be able to see a change!
The results: I saw my teeth whitening a bit – or at least that’s what I thought I saw. It could have been a placebo effect. That’s why I’m asking all of you to see what you think about this product. Have you ever tried it? Do you think it works? Let me know in the comment box below!
What it contains:
- botanical whiteners, pomegranate and chamomile extracts and fluoride -> “stimulates stain removal”
- aloe barbadensis leaf juice -> “promotes healing and healthy gums”
